Changing behaviours. Enhancing lives.
At times, people with a developmental disability may express their unmet needs through behaviour that confuses or concerns others. Family Counselling Centre of Brant, through Hamilton Brant Behaviour Services, offers behaviour consultation, short-term clinics, training opportunities and various groups to help understand the reasons why people may be acting the way they are, and to develop effective interventions at the individual’s home and/or community level.
Our specialized consultants work with clients and their support network to overcome behaviours that impact their quality of life and ability to participate in community living.
We help you work on goals that lead to:
- Changes that will enhance quality of life
- Learning new skills to cope with challenges, while maintaining dignity
- Promoting meaningful relationships with family, friends, caregivers and others
- Working through social and emotional factors that lead to difficulties
There is no charge for our service.
