What is an EAP?

An EAP, Employee Assistance Program, is an employer-sponsored benefit that provides short-term, solution-focused counselling services to help employees who are experiencing personal difficulties that often affect work performance.

These issues may be work-related or they may originate outside the workplace and can include:

  • Abuse
  • Anger Management
  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Transitions
  • Parenting
  • Personal or Job Stress
  • Relationships Issues
  • Self Esteem
  • Sexual Abuse/Sexual Assault-women or men
  • Separation and Divorce
  • Trauma
  • Woman Abuse/Intimate Partner Violence or Domestic Violence
  • Work/Life Balance

Confidentiality

Our EAP services provide a safe, highly confidential space where individuals receive assistance from professionally qualified therapists. The information shared in counselling sessions will not be disclosed to employers, nor will the identity of employees who receive counselling. Employees can trust that what is discussed in counselling sessions remains between them and their counsellor.
